"I have never anywhere found a more pleasant place to spend the summer than in Warrenton..."
- John Mosby

Brentmoor:

The Spilman-Mosby House overlooks historic Main Street and is a contributing property to the Warrenton Historic District. Serving as the residence to four distinguished Virginia lawyers during the 19th century, Brentmoor remains today a beautiful example of the Italianate Villa style of architecture. Fully restored and interpreting the life and times of John Singleton Mosby and his contemporaries, the museum brings the 19th century alive today through living history interpretations.

You will begin your experience in our Education Center at the Warrenton-Fauquier Visitor Center on the Brentmoor property where permanent exhibits and an orientation video provide the backdrop for an understanding of the house and its residents.

End your visit in Warrenton, strolling the historic streets and enjoying excellent food in our historic Town.
