The opening of the Mosby Museum and Education Center will offer new educational experiences to students and teachers in the surrounding areas who will participate in programs ranging from historic architecture, historical research, genealogy, archaeology and historic preservation. Plans are underway for Teacher Training Workshops, Summer Camps and Family Programs. In addition, internship opportunities will be available for college and university students, interested in gaining first hand knowledge and experience in historic preservation, archaeology and museum management. Online courses and workshops will broaden our audience participation and enable the Education Center to expand its programming to a global audience in accordance with our mission to "serve as a cultural and tourism center to advance Mosby’s legacy through education, research, leadership studies and collaboration." The Education Center will feature permanent and special exhibitions along with classroom and laboratory areas where students can gain "hands-on" experiences promoting individual discovery of the importance of history in everyday life.
