The Holiday Open House and Mosby Birthday Celebration

On Saturday, December 6th, the Foundation celebrated our "Soft Opening" with a party for Colonel Mosby on his 175th birthday.

The early afternoon public open house and evening reception were well attended by the community. With both the interior and exterior restoration completed, the spotlight was on Brentmoor.

BUY A COMMEMORTIVE BRICK FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

The donation of a commemorative brick or stone paver will help support the restoration and preservation of Brentmoor: the Spilman-Mosby House. The brick or stone paver will be placed on the grounds of the Fauquier Visitor’s Center and the John Singleton Mosby Museum on Main Street in Warrenton, Virginia.

And these bricks are not just limited to your Grandmother. This is a unique opportunity to have your name, the names of your family members, your ancestors, or a corporate name become part of the local history and landscape. You might even buy Grandpa a brick too! And don’t forget the kids. Kids love getting bricks for Christmas. Well, maybe not, but they will get a thrill seeing their names on the walkways of the museum.

Bricks (4’ x 8”) will be placed in the walkways for a donation of $100 for individuals and for $50 for students. Larger bricks (12” x 12”) are available for a donation $1500 and granite pavers (12” x12”) for a donation of $5000. go to the Contribute/ Fundraising Campaign for complete details and download the Brick Brochure.
